Roald van Wyk is a VP, Sr Group Creative Director at SapientRazorfish New York, where he oversees creative, strategy and content development for several of the agency’s East Region clients, including Mercedes-Benz, Trojan, Clinique and Hellman’s.
He has over 20 years of global experience in advertising and digital marketing, creating cross-cultural integrated campaigns for brands like Heineken, Nokia, Audi, HSBC, Levi’s, adidas, Cartier - among others.
He started his career in South Africa and went on to hold creative positions in Amsterdam, Singapore, Tokyo, Oslo and New York. Prior to joining Razorfish he served as CMO of Tone, a mobile technology start-up that connected remote communities with mobile data. This involved working closely with the US State Department, NGO’s, brands and mobile carriers around the world to develop sustainable mobile data access around the world.
His scope of expertise includes global 360 campaigns, branded content, integrated strategy, mobile platforms, cross cultural partnerships, photography and design. He helped established the Connected Content Studio for the SapientRazorfish New York office and is helping to implement it across the network.
